Sky Cinemas, which permanently closed May 18 at 166 Hargraves St., Ste. A100, Dripping Springs, will reopen July 1 as EVO Cinemas.

EVO Entertainment Group—which was founded in 2014 and operates movie theaters and entertainment centers in New Braunfels, San Marcos, Fredericksburg, Schertz and Kyle—will take over the Beltera Village theater space and is investing $1 million to renovate the space over the next year, according to a June 5 news release from EVO.

The theater will have an expanded scratch kitchen for in-theater service and will offer signature cocktails and beer. EVO is also planning live music and entertainment for the event in the future.
