The ban had been in place since July 18 and was extended multiple times due to the excessive temperatures and dry conditions that hit Central Texas this summer.
Travis County is expected to see wetter conditions this week that will lower fire risk, Callaway said.

County officials recommend that residents call their local fire department before outdoor burning, as local municipalities may have their own burn bans. Residents can find their local fire department by calling the Fire Marshal’s Office at 512-854-4621.
