In the 78703 ZIP code, about 40% less homes sold in May 2024 compared to May 2025, while the number of days on market increased by 132% year-over-year. (Courtesy Unlock MLS)

The median price for homes sold during the month of May in the Central Austin area has decreased by about 16% year-over-year, according to Unlock MLS data.

The details

For 10 of the market's 12 ZIP codes, the median home sales price decreased from May 2024 to May 2025.

In May 2025, a plurality of homes sold in Central Austin were in the $900,000 and over price range.

The number of homes sold from May 2024 to May 2025 decreased slightly by 9.7%.

Homes spent more days on the market year-over-year.
