Harbor Health opens 2 express care clinics in Central, South Austin

Harbor Health has opened two new Express Care clinics, one located near The University of Texas at Austin campus and the second at Onion Creek in South Austin.

The multi-speciality group provides care for infants, children, adolescents and adults. Express Care clinics offer walk-in appointments and after-hours care.

Founded by Dr. Clay Johnston, a former dean of the Dell Medical School, Eric Scott, and Tony Miller, the health provider “has created an entirely new healthcare delivery system,” according to a news release.

“Harbor Health differs from traditional healthcare delivery approaches because we’re proactive when it comes to people’s needs and more focused on achieving better outcomes,” Johnston said in a statement. “This ultimately reduces wasteful healthcare spending.”

In January 2024, the organization received close to $100 million in funding for expansion efforts, contributing to the two newest express care clinics.
