The Central Austin community can mark their calendars with events throughout the next few months ranging from live music and fundraising to cultural presentations and art displays.

Zilker Relays

​​Austin Runners Club will host its annual team-based running celebration where each of four participants completes a 2.5-mile loop, totaling a 10-mile relay. Children 13 and under can participate in the Marathon Kids Dash and all proceeds from both races support Marathon Kids.Teresa Lozano Long Community Day

Annual Sept. 11th Memorial Mt Climb

The annual tradition features a 9/11 memorial climb where participants climb Mount Bonnell 44 times to reach the 220 stories of stairs in the Twin Towers. The event will also raise donations for nonprofit My Veteran Passion, which provides resources to aid against veteran suicide.

The KPOP Event

The KPOP-themed community event hosted by Resolution Eyecare will feature music, food and raffle prizes to help promote local businesses. Participants will use a stamp card system and those who collect stamps from all participating businesses will be entered into a raffle for a grand prize drawing.

The world-renowned conservationist and ethologist will reflect on her journey of how she grew from a child with a curiosity and love for animals to becoming a trailblazing scientist and household name in the conservation space.

Oita Japan Summer Festival

The family-friendly festival immerses participants in Japanese culture with food, kids’ activities, music, dance, fashion, cultural presentations and travel tips.

Community members can enjoy a day of free admission to dozens of museums featuring art, science, music, nature, history and culture.

St. Jude Walk

Attendees can raise funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at this annual 5k walk. Participation can be done in person or virtually.

2025 Walk to End Lupus Now!


Participants will fundraise for lupus research, support and education services as they walk with those impacted and touched by lupus.October

The popular music festival will kick off with its first weekend, showcasing artists such as Hozier, Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, The Strokes and Empire of the Sun.
