Liberty Hill approves retail site plan for Target

Liberty Hill City Council approved a retail site plan at its Jan. 8 meeting for a development that will include a new Target store.

The roughly 35.5-acre development will sit at 351 US 183, Liberty Hill, and Target is set to serve as the anchor of the development, according to agenda documents.

FD's Grill House closes in Pflugerville

FD's Grill House, a bar and restaurant serving classic American cuisine, closed its Pflugerville location Dec. 15.

According to a notice posted on its front door, the owners sold the restaurant at the end of its lease. New signage on the property shows a Mas Fajitas Mexican Restaurant moving in.

Judge allows Bee Cave industrial park to resume construction

On Jan. 15, Judge Laurie Eiserloh of Travis County’s 455th District Court issued a ruling allowing Velocis, developer of the West Austin Business Park, to resume construction while following city noise ordinances.

The ruling comes after two court hearings Nov. 12 and Nov. 20, wherein the city of Bee Cave sought a temporary injunction and a halt to construction at the site.

Developer looks to change designs for The District in Round Rock

The developers of the 65.5-acre mixed use project known as The District are seeking the city of Round Rock's approval for another update to the design plan.

The city of Round Rock's Planning & Zoning Commission gave initial approval for these updates Jan. 15, but the fourth major change to the development plan will need to receive final approval from City Council.

Extension to Old Settlers Boulevard underway in Round Rock

The city of Round Rock began work on a project to extend Old Settlers Boulevard from North Red Bud Lane to CR 110 in December. The connection will feature a four-lane divided section with a bridge portion.

The road extension will create a four-lane roadway with a center median and two bridges over McNutt Creek.

Lucky Eagle to open in Pflugerville

Lucky Eagle is expected to open in Pflugerville this month.

The new location will have sweepstakes machines and other arcade games that donate proceeds to local charities. The business also operates Lucky Hippo in Hutto and Lucky Lion in Round Rock.
