Free Week in the Red River Cultural District

The Red River Cultural District is hosting its free music festival this weekend in downtown Austin. The festival includes performances by musicians from a variety of genres, playing at different venues throughout the Red River District. Performing acts include The Tiarras, Rookie Park, Lola Tried, Kiki Machine, Geto Gala, Banged Out, Chancla Fight Club and more. Venues include Barbarella, Mohawk, Stubb’s Bar-B-Q, Vaquero Taquero and more.

The International Gem & Jewelry Show


Shop from artisans, designers, wholesalers and manufacturers at the gem, jewelry and bead marketplace at Palmer Events Center Exhibit Hall 2. This three-day event includes products such as fine jewelry, watches, vintage items, supplies and other various beads, gems and jewelry products. Children under 9 years old are not permitted.

RuPual’s Drag Race Season 17 Viewing Party at Hideaway Kitchen & Bar

Enjoy dinner and a drag show at Hideaway Kitchen & Bar this Friday. The event, hosted by Tiffany Epiphany, includes a viewing party for the premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 and will feature local special guests. Hideaway will host viewing parties for the duration of the new season. This is an ages 18+ event.City-Wide Vintage Sale

Explore Austin’s largest and longest-running vintage market, which started in 1977. Attendees can shop from over 80 different vendors hailing from across Texas and the United States. Items include mid-century modern furniture and decor, collectibles, vintage clothing and more.

Glow and Grow: A Health and Wellness Expo by Swift Fit Events

Jump into the new year with a fitness-focused weekend. The half-day event will feature activities including guided meditation, yoga, kettlebell technique workshops, dance cardio and a class led by fitness company Pvolve. First Saturday January Workout by RAH! Power Fitness

Join this free outdoor workout led by certified personal trainers, hosted by fitness company RAH! Power Fitness. Participants can expect a full body workout with cardio and strength exercises. Participants are welcome to attend a post-workout social event at the Black Star Co-op. This event is welcome to all fitness levels. Participants under 18 years old must attend with a legal guardian.

Art in the Park

Get creative and work on different mediums of art, such as watercolors, textiles, clay, journal making and other crafting activities. The event will also feature live music and painting performances.Create Solidarity: The Art of Cleansing and Manifesting hosted by the George Washington Carver Museum

Create a vision board for the new year at this all-day community event. The museum will provide supplies such as magazines, scissors and glue but encourages guests to bring materials to share. The event includes healing activities, presentations and crafting time to create vision boards.

Texas Junior Roller Derby New Year’s Revolution

Concessions and raffles will also be offered at the event.
