Five Austin-area Texas House of Representatives places are on the ballot. These elected officials cover parts of Austin, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Lake Travis, Westlake, Leander, Liberty Hill and Round Rock.
  • In District 20, incumbent Terry Wilson (R) is facing off against Stephen Wyman (D).
  • In District 47, incumbent Vikki Goodwin (D) is facing off against Scott Firsing (R).
  • In District 48, incumbent Donna Howard (D) is facing off against Daniel McCarthy (L).
  • In District 52, incumbent Caroline Harris Davila (R) is facing off against Jennie Birkholz (D).
  • In District 136, incumbent John Bucy III (D) is facing off against Amin Salahuddin (R).

Based on preliminary election results:
  • Texas House District 20: Wilson takes the lead against Wyman with 55,449 votes, or 59.62% of the vote. Wyman has 37,555 votes, or 40.38% of the vote.

  • Texas House District 52: Harris Davila takes the lead against Birkholz with 52,055 votes, or 55.63% of the vote. Birkholz has 41,513 votes, or 44.37% of the vote.
  • Texas House District 136: Bucy takes the lead against Salahuddin with 38,612 votes, or 62.99% of the vote. Salahuddin has 22,688 votes, or 37.01% of the vote.
