The ramen shop, formerly located off East Sixth Street, closed its doors in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, Kayo and Takehiro Asazu, who also own Komé, Sa-Tén and Uroko, and Harry Chang are planning to reopen Daruma Ramen at The Goodwin apartment complex off Airport Boulevard.

The restaurant is recognized for its refined, clear chicken-based ramen known as Chintan broth.

“The revived concept will stay true to its original spirit while introducing a refreshed setting for both longtime fans and new guests,” Kayo Asazu said in an email.
