Chick-fil-A to open at Bar W Marketplace near Leander, Georgetown border

A new Chick-fil-a restaurant is slated to open near the border of Leander and Georgetown, a representative of Chick-fil-A confirmed with Community Impact.

The 5,030-square-foot restaurant with a drive thru will be located off Kauffman Loop at the Bar W Marketplace shopping center, which features a H-E-B grocery store, project information listed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows.

Paris Baguette bakery cafe nears spring opening in Leander

Paris Baguette, an international bakery cafe chain, is set to open in Leander this spring.

The business will serve French-inspired cakes, pastries, sandwiches and premium coffee. The Leander franchise is owned by Sushma Koritala, who has a background in the IT industry.

From the team behind Wiseguys in Round Rock, The Red Door Kitchen is expected to open in Georgetown in late February.

The full-service, sit-down restaurant will offer an expanded menu of casual Italian options, including cheese ravioli, fish frys and more comfort meals.

Bastrop to get $2M LongHorn Steakhouse in 2026


Bastrop is poised to get its first LongHorn Steakhouse in the upcoming Burleson Crossing East in 2026.

Construction on the 5,780-square-foot, $2 million project is scheduled to begin in June and finish in late January 2026, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
