Austin will be home to the fourth location of New York-based bar Mother's Ruin, following the footsteps of Nashville, where it opened in 2019, and Chicago, where it opened in 2022.

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere

Mother’s Ruin, named after the mid-18th-century nickname for gin, is described as a "cocktail-meets-dive bar" in a news release. It will offer signature cocktails, beer, wines and food in the mixed-use development Centro. The bar will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m..

On the menu

The beverage menu features rotating cocktails alongside beer, wine and shots. The food menu will feature brunch items in addition to all-day offerings, including French Onion Soup Grilled Cheese, Mother’s Smashburger, Thai Brussels Sprouts and more.
