Revival Coffee owner Gabriela Bucio announced on social media the closing of the cafe and cocktail lounge at the end of October.

The company stated it was unable to secure a long-term lease renewal. Bucio, in a separate statement, explained that without a long-term lease, it has been difficult to plan for future business strategy.

“During the pandemic, I took over the lease and responsibilities when it went out of business,” Bucio said. “While we are heartbroken to close, it’s difficult to build long-term business plans when the landlord only offers one-year renewals to keep development options open for the property.”

She added that Revival employees have all been given other opportunities under her brand at sister concepts, which include Taquero Mucho, Gabrielas Downtown, Mala Vida and others.

“I am actively working to relocate Revival. I’m confident that things will work out,” Bucio said in her post.
