Daybreak Hospitality—behind brunch restaurant Paperboy—recently opened the team's newest concept Loudmouth.

On the menu

The restaurant offers wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches and takes on Italian-American dishes like tiramisu or meatballs and focaccia.

Loudmouth also serves local beers on tap, wine and cocktails.

Quote of note

“Stemming from my childhood memories of cooking with my grandpa Joe, this concept is one that I’ve been excited about for almost a decade,” Daybreak Hospitality Executive Chef Patrick Jackson said in a news release. “I always felt like everything that happens in the family happens around food. Whether hanging in the kitchen or sitting around the table, it’s loud and fun and familiar and that influence can really be seen with the style of our menu.”

What’s special about it?

Loudmouth is located in East Austin’s historic Haynes-Delashwah house, built in the 1890s, and was once home to councilmember Harry L. Haynes and later Austin’s first Black pharmacist, Thomas Delashwah.

The property offers both indoor and outdoor seating with a play area for children.
