Dish Society, a concept rooted in Austin’s food scene but first opened in Houston, is growing its presence in Central Texas. Following the success of its first Austin location in Mueller, the restaurant will open a second spot in Austin on South First Street, set to debut in late February or early March 2025.

On the menu

The restaurant boasts “southern-sourced” foods, drawing most of its ingredients and food from local farmers and ranchers, according to the company’s website.

The menu features brunch, lunch and supper with items ranging from omelets and beignets to shrimp and grits and a variety of tacos. The diner also has a full cocktail menu, showcasing brunch favorites such as mimosas, Bloody Marys and a prickle pear margarita.

Dish Society will be taking over what was previously Picnik.
