The California-based Boa Steakhouse opened its first Texas location in downtown Austin's former Gloria's Latin Cuisine space. This is the second restaurant from Innovative Dining Group to debut in Texas this year, following Sushi Roku's opening in February.

The details

Austinite and chef James Flowers will lead the kitchen and signature dishes will include roasted wagyu bone marrow, smoked steak tartare and king crab ceviche.

The menu will also feature signature cocktails, wine and beer from local breweries.

The 8,000-square-foot space holds up to 185 guests in the main dining room and an additional 50 guests in a private dining room.

What they're saying

"Though Texas is synonymous with steaks, we look forward to sharing our imaginative spin on steakhouse favorites, all within a beautifully designed space with exceptional hospitality that is perfect for an intimate date night or a blowout celebration," IDG co-founder Lee Maen said in a news release.
