Reservations are open for East Austin's American-Italian restaurant and bar, Casa Bianca, which opened April 12.

In a nutshell

Friends and restaurateurs Joseph Zoccoli and Richard Thomas teamed up to create their first dining concept together, starting with dinner service and expanding the hours throughout the next few weeks, according to a news release.

"Our goal with Casa Bianca is for our guests to feel cared for and excited to dine out," Thomas said in the news release. "The food and drinks are fresh takes, but the service and vibe are old-school and laid-back."

On the menu

Zoccoli oversees the food menu, which offers selections ranging from a raw bar to handmade pasta dishes, with seafood- and vegetable-heavy small plates also available.

Dinner options include Crispy Skin Branzino, with caramelized fennel puree and pistachio salsa verde; Cavatelli with lamb, sunflower seed ragu and fermented honey; and Wagyu New York Strip, with Mesquite pod-marsala zabaione and sweet onion jus.

The drink menu

Thomas crafts the beverages, with spins on classic cocktails, such as the Manhattan Breve, made with Dickel rye, Carpano Antica, Angostura, black walnut and espresso foam; and the Scaribaldi, made with mezcal, Sfumato Rabarbaro and fluffy pineapple.

A curated selection of wines and Amaro, an Italian herbal liqueur, are also available.

At Casa Bianca, guests can choose between the 75-seat indoor dining room or the 40-seat lower garden to experience the main food and beverage options.

The 65-seat Alcina rooftop bar, which will open in the coming weeks, will offer a separate menu of sips and snacks.
