Koko’s Bavarian has revealed it will be opening a brick-and-mortar location on South Lamar in October.

The details

The location will feature 7,000 square feet of Bavarian tradition and Texas hospitality with an expanded food and beverage menu including wings, mozzarella sticks, whitefish dip, Bavarian pretzel, Belgian-style fries and more.

For diners looking for a more filling treat, the menu also features sausages, hot dogs, salads, sandwiches and cheeseburgers.

The location’s bar is curated by Travis Tober of Nickel City and Murray’s Tavern and will offer signature cocktails, frozen drinks, a draft lineup and bottled beers.

Quote of note

“Here in Central Texas, where German roots run deep, it’s an honor to share a legacy that connects my family’s history with the region’s rich traditions," partner Konstantin Prinz von Bayern, known as Koko, said. “Our goal is to create a space that feels true to that heritage: long tables, high energy and crowds brought together over sausages, pretzels and authentic Austin vibes.”

Some background

The business launched its first location in 2021 in East Austin and has since opened two locations at Moody Center.
