Hyatt Regency Austin, the full-service hotel located downtown on the shore of Lady Bird Lake, announced plans to renovate and refresh the property.

The overview

According to a news release, the Hyatt Regency Austin renovation includes a comprehensive redesign of the hotel’s 448 guest rooms and suites, corridors, meeting facilities and public spaces.

New features will include:
  • New reception pods and expanded lobby seating
  • A lobby installation inspired by Austin’s skyline and landscapes
  • Monochromatic redesign of guest room corridors
  • Two additional guest rooms, one being a suite with a skyline view
  • Redesigned guest rooms with new lighting and headboard walls
  • Renovation of the Zilker, Texas and Foothills Ballrooms
  • Newly completed pool cabanas
Hyatt Regency Austin will also introduce a new hotel dining option, Ripple & Roots. According to the release, the menu will highlight Native American, Old South, Latin and Asian cuisines.

In addition to the restaurant, Juniper Breeze Market will offer meals, snacks and drinks prepared by the hotel’s culinary team, along with a selection of products from local small businesses.

The hotel will remain open during the renovation, with new spaces opening in phases. The project is expected to be completed in September.
