All Saints’ Episcopal Church kicked off its 125th anniversary celebrations on June 8, beginning its Summer of Service campaign.

The backstory

The church was established in 1900 when the All Saints’ Chapel was fully built, and became a parish in 1909.

“Our 125th anniversary is not only a time to celebrate our rich history, but also to imagine our future,” said Reverend Genevieve Razim. “We want to share our legacy of grace and service as we welcome new generations and their voices into the next chapter of the All Saints’ story.”

Giving back

The church plans to commemorate the anniversary with a Summer of Service campaign, a volunteer effort to deepen their roots in the Austin community by giving back through service, according to Razim.

Additional celebrations are planned for the coming months with an event for All Saints’ Sunday on Nov. 2 complete with a picnic, live jazz and food. Additional celebrations include a digital photo gallery complete with historical artifacts and visits from religious leaders.
