Zeds Real Fruit Ice Cream

The New Zealand-style ice cream shop will serve its famous blend of soft-serve vanilla ice cream mixed with fresh fruit. Originally founded in Portland, Oregon, by The University of Texas at Austin graduates Matt Potter and Caleb Schmidt, the first Zeds location outside Portland opened in East Austin in July 2021.Relocations

Nature’s Treasures


Metaphysical store and rock shop Nature’s Treasures has started its relocation process to North Austin, set for sometime this summer. For now, the business is still operating out of its Central Austin location at 4103 N. I-35 all week and is open at its pop-up and future main location Fri.-Mon., noon-5 p.m. with events on weekends. Austin-grown Thundercloud Subs celebrated its 50th anniversary in March. The business was founded in 1975 by Andy Cotton and John Meddaugh, two friends who opened the business with only $2,500 to their names and a dream to sell submarine sandwiches. Chili’s is celebrating its 50th anniversary in March. The restaurant’s menu features American and Tex-Mex cuisine including burgers, chicken, fajitas, pasta and seafood, according to its website. The franchise was founded in Dallas in March 1975 and has now expanded to over 1,600 locations in 28 counties, according to the website of Brinker International, who owns Chili’s.
