Austin’s Tex-Mex restaurant Baby Acapulco, known as Baby A's, has closed its downtown location on Barton Springs Road.

The locally owned restaurant has been serving the Austin area for over 40 years, “hailed as the originator of 'purple rita',” according to its website.

A manager confirmed the closure. Staff are currently filling positions at the two remaining locations, one near the Arboretum and the other on Riverside Drive.
