Renovations to what was previously Crow Bar in south Austin, will yield yet another product of FBR Management’s steady growth over the last decade. The second iteration of The Wheel, a popular neighborhood bar on the east side, is anticipated to open by the end of the year.

The details

The 2,102-square-foot space suffered previous fire damage, according to state filings. The landlord is currently working to rebuild the venue which was demolished after finding extensive structural damage.

Once work is completed, the company will be able to move in and begin operations, FBR spokesperson Max Moreland said.

Listed as The Wheel Too in its Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission permitting, the south location will offer familiar signature cocktails along with a draft and package beer menu. The company expects to also have a food truck onsite; however, the specific food vendor has yet to be determined, Moreland said.

FBR Management oversees the operations of a slew of local haunts, including LaLa’s Little Nugget, Lavaca Street Bar, Star Bar, Midnight Cowboy and more. The company also provides bar services at events like Austin City Limits Music Festival and Austin Food & Wine.
