Uncle Nicky's Italian Specialties opened a second location on South Lamar Boulevard this summer.

The neighborhood Italian eatery's new South Austin space features a revamped menu with antipasti, salads, sandwiches, pasta and desserts including cannolis, tiramisu and Italian custard. The location serves all-day breakfast and has brunch and happy hour offerings.

Coffee, wine and cocktails, like specialty twists on negronis and espresso-based drinks, are also available.

The new location and menu items represent Uncle Nicky's mix of the approachable fast-casual experience with quality ingredients, chef and co-owner Nic Yanes said in a statement.

“The opening of our second location allows us to expand in many ways, like the opportunity to explore our menu in greater depth to add more authentic and inspired items. Our aim is to build on the success of our original location, creating a space for culinary innovation in a friendly and laid-back setting,” Yanes said in the statement. “People are welcome to stop by for a quick bite or stay as long as they like. It's about enjoying good food, connecting with great people and having a good time.”

The South Lamar location is Uncle Nicky's second now operating in Austin, in addition to the Hyde Park cafe that opened in early 2019. The restaurant is owned by Yanes, Travis Tober, and brothers Brandon and Zane Hunt.
