After nearly four decades of selling vintage treasures, Austin Antique Mall will lock its doors for the last time at 6 p.m. on May 15.

Home to nearly 100 vendors, sales are underway ahead of the shutter.

Officials broke the news on Instagram, saying "rumors of our closing are unfortunately not rumors."

"The owner of our building wants to expand and we have no choice but to move out," officials said in response to a reader's comment. "It is devastating for us too."

The building is owned by Playland Skate Center, which opened in 1973. Playland officials confirmed the skating rink will expand, however, they are not yet ready to release details.
