Lucchese Bootmaker may be bringing new Western wear to South Congress Avenue.

The bootmaker hasn't yet formally shared any plans regarding a new Austin storefront. However, a state filing indicates Lucchese may aim to build out nearly 4,000 square feet in the business district in a space most recently occupied by boutique Maya Star.

Project details listed through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation show the $600,000 renovation could begin in mid-March and stretch through October.

The national retailer already has several locations across Texas, including one in Austin in The Domain. The company launched other new locations in the state throughout last year, offering boots, hats, other apparel and leather goods.
