Several road construction projects are wrapping up the design and planning process, and anticipated to begin construction in Kyle. All of the projects listed were funded through the 2022 Kyle bond.

1. Marketplace Avenue construction

Project: The construction will connect the northern and southern segments of Marketplace Avenue. The existing segment from FM 1626 to Old Bridge Trail will be widened to match.

Update: The project is in the bid phase and will begin construction in the next few months.

2. Bebee Road realignment

Project: The construction will realign the sharp curves on Bebee Road between I-35 and Sunlight Boulevard, and upgrade Bebee Road between I-35 and Goforth Road. The project will be completed in two segments—east and west—divided at Republic Drive.


Update: The project is in the final design stage.

3. Seton Parkway extension

Project: Seton Parkway will be extended from its right angle just north of the Ascension Seton Hays Hospital to connect with Kohlers Crossing across I-35. A roundabout is being proposed at the intersection of Bebee Road and Kohlers to Seton. The project will be completed in two segments, one at I-35 and the other from I-35 to Seton Parkway.

Update: Construction is expected to begin in 2025.

4. Bunton Creek Road realignment

Project: This project will straighten out curves along Bunton Creek Road between Lehman and Goforth Road. There is one planned roundabout at Bunton Creek Road and Goforth Road.


Update: The project is in the schematic phase.

  • Cost: $28.6 million

5. Kyle Parkway and Lehman Road extension

Project: This project will extend Lehman Road northeast of Bunton Creek Road to connect to Dacy Lane. Kyle Parkway will also be extended to the new segment of Lehman Road. There are four planned roundabouts at Kyle Parkway and Dacy Lane, Kyle Parkway and Lehman Road, Lehman Road and Bunton Creek Road, and Lehman Road and Dacy Lane.

6. Windy Hill Road

Project: This project is in the planning and design phase, and will add capacity from the I-35 northbound frontage road to Purple Martin Avenue. There is also one planned roundabout at Windy Hill Road and Cherryroad. Construction is expected to begin in 2025.
