The Hays County Transportation Department announced there will be lane closures on Jack C. Hays Trail, also known as FM 2770, on March 7-10 for construction on the Robert S. Light Boulevard extension project.

From 7 p.m.-6 a.m. daily, work will be done to widen the southbound lane of FM 2770.

The closures will be two-way with one-lane operations including flagging personnel and lighting, according to a press release from the Hays County Transportation Department.

The road work is part of a $17.7 million project to extend Robert S. Light Boulevard for an additional 2 miles from the Poco Loco Market at the corner of South Loop 4 to FM 1626.
