The home market in San Marcos, Buda and Kyle continued to balance out in July, according to data from the Austin Board of Realtors.

The amount of homes sold remained similar to July 2022, with the largest difference being about a 12% increase in San Marcos home sales.


While home sales remained generally the same, homes in July were spending many more days on the market on average. This number was up almost at least 140% for all three cities, data showed.


The cost of homes for the three cities was also down across the board, with Buda seeing the largest year-over-year decrease in home sales of about 16%.


The amount of homes sold per price point for all three ZIP codes is as follows:
  • $900,000-plus: four homes
  • $700,000-$899,999: 11 homes
  • $500,000-$699,999: 46 homes
  • $300,000-$499,999: 176 homes
  • Less than $299,999: 35 homes
