Mayor Pro Tem Michael Tobias recognized the volunteer-based organization with a proclamation.
Kyle-Buda Kiwanis Club was chartered back in 2018 and holds a myriad of events to support the community, such as Pillows of Peace, a program that supports victims of domestic violence through donated pillows to the Hays-Caldwell Women's Center and various homeless centers.
The organization also partners with other local organizations to participates in school supply and toy and book drives.
Kyle-Buda Kiwanis Club meets each month at the Comfort Suites in Kyle, located at 5213 Physicians Way. The meetings are open to the public and begin at 7 p.m. Meeting dates and more information are available on the club's website.
