The McCoy Wellness and Rehabilitation Center at Ascension Seton Hays celebrated its five-year business anniversary Feb. 27 in Kyle. The center provides cardiac and pulmonary rehab in addition to physical, speech and occupational therapy by Ascension Seton therapists.

The wellness center was funded by over 300 donors in Hays County and has treated 4,000 patients since opening, according to a news release.

Ascension Seton Hays President Joan Ross said that increasing access to rehabilitation and therapy through the center has allowed patients to be treated closer to home, with shorter wait times and faster recovery.

"As Central Texans, we know that our community continues to grow with new residents moving here every day, and this growth means more who will need our care," Ross said.
