What we know
As of 7 p.m. Dec. 13, Courtney Goza led incumbent Bear Heiser with about 51.45% of the vote. Heiser, a consultant, has three years of experience on Kyle City Council, and previously told Community Impact how he plans to involve residents in the decision-making process.

“There is no one magic-bullet way of getting resident feedback,” he said. “It’s a combination of surveys, in-person events along with one-to-one contact. Those are the best ways to gauge sentiment. Ultimately, though, what it boils down to is whether or not we are effectively communicating what we are trying to accomplish.”
Goza, meanwhile, is a commercial and residential realtor who launched her campaign to help more residents feel heard by Kyle City Council.
“I have seen so many decisions where I thought they made poorly educated choices,” she previously told Community Impact. “I want to restore the people’s voice.”
