The Kyle Police Department announced the selection of its new emergency management coordinator, James Johnson, on June 10, according to a news release.

Johnson has over three decades of public safety and emergency management experience, and previously served as the assistant vice president for campus safety at The University of Texas. He will be in charge of the development, implementation and supervision of the city's emergency plan, policies and programs, according to a news release.
