After receiving requests for qualifications from multiple engineering firms, the final two candidates were K Friese & Associates Inc. and WSB, which is set to receive the committee’s formal recommendation.
Buda citizens approved the $89.66 million bond in November, which will tackle over a dozen transportation and road projects throughout the city and half a dozen park improvements.
The presentation breaks down the scope of work that the firm will take on, including program management, administration and planning as well as financial management and other acquisitions as needed. The firm will also pursue grant funding for projects where possible.
WSB will also coordinate with the county, Texas Department of Transportation, Union Pacific and other entities to execute the bond projects.
“Comprehensively, we will manage this program by enabling simultaneity of execution, maximizing available resources and delivering quality results by May 2028,” according to the presentation.
The committee will meet April 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Buda City Hall, located at 405 E. Loop St., Buda.
