“Brad actually is a former Hays High School graduate that is coming back to the district, so it's really a welcome home,” Wright said.
Lancaster is the assistant principal at Austin ISD's Akins High School as well as academy director of the school’s Academy for Building Leadership & Legal Enterprise. He previously served as a special education teacher, a department chair and a basketball coach at Akins High School.
Additionally, Wright's recommendation and board action included the appointment of Claudia Vasquez as the new assistant principal at Hays High School. She is the assistant principal of Tom Green Elementary School.
Vasquez previously served as a Spanish teacher and an assistant principal at Hemphill Elementary School.
