Hooters in San Marcos closed on June 4.

What's happening

The restaurant is permanently closed, according to an automated voicemail from the location's phone number. The restaurant's social media pages have been deactivated, and the location has been removed from the Hooters website.

"After careful consideration of what is needed to best position our company for the future, Hooters made the difficult decision to close our San Marcos location, effective June 4, 2025," a company spokesperson said in a statement to Community Impact.

The statement went on to explain the move is part of the company's long-term goals to continue its "iconic legacy under a pure franchise business model."

"We are committed to supporting our impacted team members throughout this process and are incredibly grateful to our valued customers for their loyalty and dedication to the Hooters brand," officials said.
