The project is being developed by Legacy Multifamily Development, LLC, and Cohen-Esrey Development Group, LLC. The Heritage at Cottonwood Creek will have 233 units, a clubhouse with a yoga studio and fitness center, a pool, and a playground.
Co-developer Jack Traeger said he chose to develop in the San Marcos area because it was a great location.
"I like the area; it seems to be growing. I actually have some relatives that went to school at Texas State so I got familiar with it at one point in time and kind of grew attracted to it," Traeger said.
Construction is expected to begin in October and is anticipated to be completed by 2025.
