The building that Papa Jack's and Jack's Axes occupied, located at 108 and 110 W. Center St. in downtown Kyle, was demolished April 10-13 after a fire collapsed the roof of both buildings in late January 2022.

Kyle City Council purchased the building previously occupied by Jack's Axes on July 23, 2022, and on Jan. 28, the council purchased the building previously occupied by Papa Jack's.

According to the city's director of communications Rachel Sonnier, the council is looking to redevelop the site.

"Both buildings were in line with the Downtown Master Plan currently under development," Sonnier said. "More information will be available as plans progress."
