Owners Andrew Ray and Sheldon Catley opened the bar on The Square in honor of Ray’s friend Bayle Bucceri, a former Texas State University student who died in 2022. The lounge-style bar features a photo booth, a powder room and monthly cocktail specials.

    The restaurant celebrated its 5-year anniversary on Sept. 12, according to a Facebook post. Toma Taco serves Mexican cuisine such as tortas, tacos, burritos and enchiladas.Thermon

    San Marcos’ iconic live music venue celebrated its 50th anniversary in October with a live music lineup that included Parker McCollum, Randy Rogers, Pat Green and other country artists. Singer-songwriter Kent Finlay opened the venue in 1974 and has hosted artists like George Strait and Stevie Ray Vaughn, among others. Rogers bought the venue in 2016.In the News
