The store, located at 1330 Aquarena Springs Drive, Ste. 103, is owned by Lucky Dania. Dania said African Eats and Market offers items that African diaspora members cannot buy from H-E-B or Walmart that allow them to feel reconnected with their roots.
African Eats and Market sells oha leaves, turmeric powder, plantain fufu flour mix, garri and more.
Dania said he also hopes to open an African restaurant in the same shopping center.
