A $3 million makeover is underway for The Lynx Apartments & Townhomes—formerly known as Sutton Apartments, located at 518 Linda Drive in San Marcos.

Long story short

The property changed ownership on Feb. 6 after going into foreclosure. The new owners are commercial banking company Lument. The property’s name change occurred in March.

Managed by Bellaire Property Management, The Lynx offers a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units. The Lynx has a total of 104 units, which consist of 32 apartments and 72 townhomes.

Working in conjunction with Lument, Regional Property Manager Omar Ramirez said they have replaced the main sewer line on the property, completed roof repairs and also replaced the doors for each apartment unit.

“A lot of the wood was missing in the areas that you see on the stairs and all the walkways in this area got completely redone,” Ramirez added.

Each apartment unit has received all new windows and comes with stainless steel appliances.

The Lynx also has new mailboxes for residents, along with a renovated basketball court. The complex is also equipped with a pool and dog park. Ramirez said they are working to build an outdoor Crossfit gym.

Ramirez said they have invested a lot into The Lynx, and that they will be holding a grand opening celebration Sept. 19.

“We welcome the community to come to see what we have to offer,” he said.
