Budaful Tavern


The restaurant was previously JParks Chophouse & Saloon, a steakhouse owned by Jeff Parks who also owns Mudbugs in Buda. JParks Chophouse & Saloon temporarily closed in April to refurbish the restaurant to match the new concept. Budaful Tavern has beer on tap with menu items like pretzels with queso, spinach dip and wings. Burgers and steak are still on the menu.La Verde Park parking lot

The city of Kyle plans on building a parking lot for La Verde Park on the northeast corner of Burnham and Doherty. Kyle City Council approved the site plan for the parking lot on May 7. According to agenda documents, the parking lot will have 131 parking spaces and 5 accessible spaces. The parking lot will have additional space for electric vehicle charging stations and provide sidewalks along Doherty and Burnham.Steeplechase Splash Pad

The Buda bar and grill will celebrate its 10th anniversary in July. Willie’s Joint opened on July 4, 2014. Before it was Willie's Joint, the building was a two-bedroom house. The property was developed to turn the living room into the bar and the bedrooms into the dining room. Owner Greg Henry said the business could not have reached the milestone without local community support throughout the years.Garcia’s

Restaurant owner Curtis Garcia said they will be closed for renovations for about two to three months. Renovations include making the kitchen bigger, adding a full bar and refurbishing the inside of the restaurant. Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant has locations in Kyle, San Marcos and Schertz.
