Ma'Coco, an Austin-based California-style Mexican restaurant is setting up shop in downtown Buda.

The restaurant will be located in the former Sweet Cakes 4 U building, which closed back in January due to staffing issues.

Ma'Coco is owned by Javier Equihua, who also owns the San Marcos restaurant concept, Balcón. Ma'Coco offers tacos, mole, cocktails, frescas and more.

Equihua said Ma'Coco is slated to open in January 2024.
