The church, which is part of Joel Osteen’s Champions Network, is currently located at 150 Quail Ridge Drive, in San Marcos. According to Richard Wilson, the senior pastor, the facility will give them an opportunity to expand their community outreach.
“We’re building a building that is 10 times the size that we’re in right now,” Wilson said.
Wilson noted that the new facility will be 40,000 square feet in total.
The main sanctuary will be 20,000 square feet with a kids wing, which will be an additional 10,000 feet. It will also have an amphitheater for concerts.
Christ Life offers several ministry programs, including discipleship, accredited seminary school, as well as men, women and youth courses. In 2024, Christ Life plans to add a college ministry course for Texas State University students called The River, with plans of building additional campuses in the future.
“Our vision is this campus will be one of four campuses. We will be placing three other campuses around San Marcos,” Wilson said.
