Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken is coming to San Marcos.

Although the building is still undergoing construction, owner Janet Hickerson said the new location is slated to open early next year.

The Tennessee-based restaurant offers hand-battered fried chicken with southern sides, such as coleslaw and potato salad. Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken also sells an assortment of pies, including southern pecan, chess, sweet potato and chocolate chess.
