Tin Fish, a custom, sustainable clothing store, opened in downtown San Marcos at 145 S. LBJ Drive on July 1.

Owner Natalie Prewitt said she designs custom-made shorts, dresses and pants.

"Everything is sourced secondhand, so all the fabric is sustainable. I like to focus on cottons and linens, but I also do commission work," Prewitt said.

Prewitt offers samples and a selection of fabrics.

"You can pick a sample and a fabric and give me your size, and that's typically how I do it. And then some people will come to me with an idea I haven't done before and ask for a very specific fabric, and so I'll source the fabric and come up with an idea for the silhouette," she said.
