Twisted Steel Barbell, a 24-hour warehouse gym located at 1151 Bunton Creek Road, Ste. 201, opened in Kyle on July 6.

The location was previously home to Ghostletics Gym.

Twisted Steel Barbell is Christian family owned and operated by husband and wife Jacob and Beth Obuszewski.

Jacob said they decided to open a 24-hour gym in Kyle because of the city’s opportunity and growth.

“We opened here in Kyle because it was a great opportunity. There wasn't a whole lot of gyms in the area, so there's definitely a need down here,” Jacob said.

The gym has a range of dumbbell weights, squat racks and more. Twisted Steel Barbell also offers recovery services, including compression relief, red-light therapies and massage chairs.

Twisted Steel Barbell offers personal training with Exceed Fitness founder Ethan Leutholtz, who offers custom diet and exercise training programs for bodybuilding, powerlifting and Olympic weight lifting.

The Obuszewski's have aspirations for a spiral staircase that would lead to the second floor, which would be used as a “chill area” for members to hang out or for cardio equipment.

“We don't want to be just a gym; we want to be a place to hang out,” Jacob said.

The monthly membership fee is $55 with no contract and no signup fees with a free cancellation at any time.
