Mama Fu's Asian House, located at 151 Evans Drive, Ste. 111, in Kyle closed June 27.

General Manager Shannon Knox said she was not sure why the restaurant closed.

"We got no notice," Knox said.

Knox said that the restaurant's district manager came in on Tuesday and told them not to open.

"He just told us not even to open for the day. So, we all came expecting to work and yeah he was just like close it down, put a sign on the door, start trying to get things out of here. It all happened very fast," she said.

The restaurant was known for its Asian cuisine and served pad thai, lo mein, stir fry, orange chicken, brisket jalapeno fried rice and Vietnamese vermicelli with chicken. Mama Fu's Asian House also offered various sides, a kids menu and daily lunch specials.
