Harbor Health, a health care clinic that offers primary, specialty and pediatric care, is bringing its services to Buda.

The Buda location lease is being finalized and not available yet, but is anticipating to open this fall.

Harbor Health has three other locations in Kyle, Round Rock and Austin with plans to expand even further in Central Texas.

Dr. Clay Johnston, Harbor Health co-founder and chief medical officer, said they decided to expand in Buda because of the area's rapid growth and saw a need in the community.

"We know the needs in Buda for access to care aren't currently being met. There hasn't been enough [doctors] to care for folks, so we see it as a great place for us," Johnston said.

Harbor Health offers an array of health care services through in-person visits and telehealth, including behavioral health, chronic disease management and pediatric care. The clinic also offers a variety of specialty care, including orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurology and dermatology.

"We're trying to really focus on how to keep people healthier and to meet them where they are. We believe that this model of care really is a much better way to care for people," he said.
