Sunflower Bank and Pioneer Bank officials celebrated a merger with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Feb. 9.

The bank, located at 403 S. Stagecoach Trail, offers a wide range of relationship-focused services to meet personal, business and wealth management financial goals. Sunflower Bank also deals with home loans.

“We have a lot of really great programs that help the community,” said Jesse Ramos, Sunflower Bank’s retail branch manager and vice president for the San Marcos location.

One of those programs is the ABC Program, which works to support schools and students in the community.

School-registered debit cards earn participating schools 2 cents year-round each time the card is used. Another component of the ABC Program is students in grades K-12 have the opportunity to bring their current report card and be entered into a drawing with five winners. Winners earn $10 for every A and can earn up to $100.
