The downtown Round Rock roundabout sign is expected to be fully replaced by the end of the week.
City officials told Community Impact Newspaper that the sign should be fully repaired by the end of the week, weather permitting. On Oct. 12, a crew was working on installing the larger metal part of the sign in the roundabout connecting Liberty Avenue, Blair Street and Round Rock Avenue.
It was removed in July via a crane and sent back to the manufacturer because it was in need of repairs following two car crashes in which drivers struck the large sign. In June, the City Council approved the $68,000 repair.
